PDF to Word is an application with a pretty
self-explanatory title - it allows you to convert PDF documents to the
DOC format, supported by Word.
The tool comes with a
user-friendly interface in which you can import PDFs by using the file
browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported. Batch
processing is allowed.
In the list you can view the name, date
and output name of each document. Once you specify the destination
folder (same as the input files or otherwise), you can proceed with the
conversion process.
In addition, you can use a comprehensive
search function, remove an item from the list or clear the entire queue,
move documents up and down in the list, open the input and output
directory, view file properties, and more.
The simple-to-use PDF
processing tool requires a moderate amount of system resources, supports
several languages for the interface and quickly finishes a conversion
task. No errors have popped up during our tests and PDF to Word did not
freeze or crash. It manages to keep a very good quality concerning the
text layout, images and shapes.
On the other hand, the tool has
trouble with converting some special characters found in other languages
besides English. Also, there is no help file available and you cannot
specify the output file name. And we would have liked to see support for
additional extensions supported by Word, such as DOCX and RTF.
But,
all in all, PDF to Word is a very good PDF encoding application and we
strongly recommend it to all users who are looking for a straightforward
tool.
